Do I have to take medications forever?
It is important to understand that if your provider discusses a possible medication option with you it may be temporary and does not always mean this is indefinite. Your provider will review all options to help manage and treat your symptoms to include pharmacological and non-pharmacological options.
What if I have side effects?
Please remember most medication have a risk of “side effects” including over the counter meds such as Tylenol. However, also important to know just because “your friend had the side effect” does not mean you will. Your provider also does not want you to have “side effects” or “feel like a zombie”. If you experience such side effect, you will discuss this with your provider so a new plan can be made! Your provider is here to work with you along the process.
